For more than twenty years, I have been a trial lawyer in Dallas, Texas.\u00a0 The many lawsuits I have handled can broadly (and vaguely) be described as business disputes.\u00a0 I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in industries as varied as oil and gas production, electricity generation, jet aircraft distribution, semiconductor manufacturing, chemical production, activated carbon production, the \u201cYellow Pages\u201d business, and many others.<\/p>\n
Trade secrets are a recurring area of dispute in my cases.\u00a0 This is not surprising because businesses often see their proprietary production techniques and other business secrets as the life blood that provides an advantage over competitors.<\/p>\n
I view this blog as a marriage of two of my interests.\u00a0 I follow developments in the subject area of trade secrets because the subject area is interesting and trade secrets are important to my clients.\u00a0 Also, as a lawyer, writing is a significant part of my job.\u00a0 Over the years, I have come to enjoy the creative process of writing.\u00a0 In this blog, I plan to write about the issues related to trade secrets that I am currently thinking about and working on.<\/p>\n
